Hi there! My name is Yugi Chan (as you can probably figure from the page), and I am a third-year
Mechatronics Engineering student at the University of Waterloo. My experience is tailored towards
Manufacturing and more Mechanical/traditional Engineering, having two previous internships at
Tesla! With that being said, I have really taken an interest in data management, software design,
and program optimization! As a start, I decided to build this website from the ground up to learn
more about front-end development and have a place to showcase my experiences and projects!
Professional Experience
Tesla | Mechanical Designer
Markham, Ontario | September 2023 - Decemeber 2023
•Designed precision instruments in SOLIDWORKS for servo systems, preventing tens of thousands of
dollars in downtime
•Fabricated 3D-printed ultrasonic sensor system using version control frameworks to mitigate
significant losses
•Worked with different suppliers to coordinate desired surface finishes for corrosion prevention
on mechanical systems
•Conducted reliability testing for a profilometer sensor to validate product data for
manufacturing lines
•Analyzed and validated vision system data to improve cell manufacturing calibrations and product
reliability
•Coordinated and analyzed Proof of Principle tests with various statistical models to prototype
